Where in the house should a piano be located?

Ideally, pianos should be placed on an interior wall, away from heater vents, open doors or windows, wall furnaces, fireplaces, direct sun exposure, or any place which is very dry or very damp. Frequently it is not possible to avoid all of these hazards, but in many cases, there are ways to protect your piano.
